Our team of professionals in M&A Analytics is dedicated to applying data analytics techniques to provide clients with financial due diligence and M&A transaction support. We work with large granular datasets using advanced data manipulation and visualisation tools to explore and bring key insights to clients from a wide range of detailed data sources.

Job Description

As an associate in M&A Analytics, you will be a key contributor to the analytics workstream on M&A projects. Your role will involve using data to improve the understanding of a target business and delivering greater insight to our clients. In collaboration with the engagement team, you will bridge the gap between data analytics and financial analysis expertise.

In this role, you will make an impact by:
  • Gaining insights into a wide range of industries and businesses through a project-based work environment
  • Quickly developing an understanding of the target business and its drivers
  • Manipulating large datasets to provide compelling, value add outputs
  • Developing static and interactive data visualisations to communicate business insights to clients to support analysis of historical trading, quality of earnings, working capital, etc.
  • Collaborating extensively with Deloitte engagement teams and clients, while clearly communicating requirements, timelines and insights to all stakeholders

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate with strong academic background and interest to build a career within Analytics.

What you bring to the team:
  • A strong academic background within an analytically based field (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computational Sciences, Engineering, Statistics, etc.) or equivalent
  • Familiarity with, or have experience in, data management, cleansing, querying, and data manipulation using tools & languages such as Alteryx, SQL, Python and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in visualising data using any of Tableau or Power BI
  • Able to handle, analyse and present findings from large volumes of data with good communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written
