Job description

Aalborg University is looking for a head of department for its newly founded business school. Starting a business school is a strategic priority for the university, which means that as a head of department, you can help develop a newly established institution where there is ambition and enthusiasm to launch new projects, develop the programmes, etc.
AAU Business School has around 3,000 students, approx. 130 employees and around 80 external lecturers.
In the job, you will, among other things, be responsible for securing AACSB accreditation for AAU Business School, formulating an overall research strategy, unlocking the potential for external funding and student enrollment and ensuring a good working environment and well-being amongst students and staff during reform changes.
You are a recognised researcher with at least associate professor status in one of AAU Business School's subject areas, which include economics, business administration, accounting, finance, innovation, marketing, international business, organisation and management. You have management and teaching experience and knowledge of the university world, including higher education, research and research funding. You are a future-oriented person with a vision and think analytically and strategically. In addition, you have administrative, financial management and external communication skills.

Løn og ansættelsesvilkår

Agreement Employment as head of department takes place on a fixed-term basis for a four-year period with the possibility of extension for up to three years without notice. Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the Collective Agreement for Academics in the State, including the protocol for the Collective Agreement for Academics in the State regarding heads of department and deans at universities, as well as the Circular on fixed-term appointments. A qualificationbased supplement may be negotiated. At the end of the fixed-term period, a fallposition as associate professor or professor may be offered following a positive assessment, in accordance with the employment regulation.
