Job Description

The Demand Planner role is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. In this role, you will create and maintain forecasts for different product lines, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources. This role leads the dialogue each month with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing to gain insights and works closely with the Operations Planning team to contribute to the monthly S&OP process.
  • Prepare forecasts and analyse trends in manufacturing, sales, distribution, general business conditions and other related areas.Analyse and plan material requirements by determining the quantity and date materials are needed to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Develop and implement supply chain, material management, and logistics plans that may affect the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products in order to enhance product flow.
  • Coordinate supply chain, material management, and logistics activities with internal/external customers
  • Participate or lead process effectiveness and continuous improvement projects


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • 2-3 years as a demand planner or related experience.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements.
  • Ability to conduct research, prepare comprehensive reports and present complex statistical information in a clear and succinct fashion
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management and employees.
  • Understanding of applicable computer systems and function specific software
