Early Career Positions - Manufacturing hos ASML

Introduction to the job

Are you eager to kick off your career with a hands-on role and work directly with highly innovative lithography machines? It's one thing to design these machines, but quite another to build, mass produce, and install them. Within your role, you'll stay close to an ASML factory or make a direct impact at a customer site, ensuring that our machines are up and running as they should. Apply to our Early Career Positions, be considered for a diverse range of technical roles, and together, we'll find the role that best fits your ambitions and competencies.

Role and responsibilities

We have three distinct roles - Production Engineer, System Install Engineer, and First Line Support Engineer - each with multiple openings available. Through our process, you'll be matched to the one role that best matches your competencies and preferences. Most of the roles appear to be similar but focus on a different phase in the production process within our extreme ultraviolet (EUV) factory.

Production engineer: These are interesting positions for graduates who like to improve processes and maintain work instructions to prevent problems.

In this role, you'll solve issues that directly impact the cycle times and the product quality of state-of-the-art, highly complex lithography machines to secure the trust of our customers. You're the bridge between R&D and the factory to maintain the overview of the design, maintenance, and optimization of the manufacturing operations.

International System Install Engineer or Coordinator: These are interesting positions for graduates who like to work abroad (60% to 80% of the time) and want to work on hand-on challenges in a very demanding international environment.

In the role of System Install Engineer, you'll help with the installation of our machines at the customer site all over the world (mainly in Asia and USA). This starts with all the preparations of the installation in Veldhoven (Netherlands). At the customer site you install the machines, perform test, solve issues and make sure that the machine is running.

In the role of System Install Coordinator, you'll be responsible for monitoring and ensuring a smooth installation process. You guide the installation process at the customer site, develop and adjust daily plans, manage technical support and escalations and act as the direct link between the site and the factory.

First Line Support Engineer: Interesting if you like to solve ad hoc problems within the lithography machines and document solutions to prevent same type of problems in the future.

In this role, you'll be in the lead as a problem owner driving technical solutions during every phase in our production and installation process. It is your goal to minimize downtime on our tools and ensure 100% quality for our customers (internal in Veldhoven and external in e.g., Korea, Taiwan, and US). You will be a 1st line engineer in troubleshooting technical problems on our machines. Our target solving power is 95%. After solving the issue, you document the issue and solution to prevent the same problem in the future. This position requires mandatory shift-based working schedules including weekend/nights support - in which case applicable shift allowances and overtime allowances apply.
