SAP Tax Analyst

Job Description:

HPE global IT is looking for a hands-on expert on SAP tax configurations for inhouse applications and their integrations. You will work on HPE's SAP systems (ECC, SAP HANA) and the corresponding tax integrations (ONESOURCE/Sabrix, Taxware). You will work with application owners, business analysts and support teams to ensure the assigned applications meets business requirements. This role is expected to work on transformational programs and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage SAP configurations including but not limited to tax procedures, tax codes, master data setup
  • Integration with upstream SAP modules - FI, SD, MM, IC, etc
  • Work with Tax engine experts to derive necessary business results
  • Project and operational requirements as necessary
  • Engage in operational priorities like incidents and month end activities
  • Document business and IT solutions as they are made
  • Stay current with new tax technologies and ensure the alignment of tax tools with the business strategy

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Must have - 6+ years of hands on experience in SAP tax configurations on ECC/HANA systems
  • Integration experience with TR ONESOURCE / Global Next is a big plus
  • Working knowledge of tax reporting solutions including but not limited to Standard SAP reports, Global Next tables
  • Solid background in deploying solutions using waterfall and agile methodologies, good background with managing project/team deliveries
  • Self-motivated and an enthusiastic team player, with the ability to leverage internal and external resources to provide timely resolution to system issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at providing succinct updates to IT leadership
