Interns are assigned to an organization department based on the candidate’s background, skill set andinterests. The assignments are project-oriented, meaningful to the department and allow the intern totake responsibility for a major task. Interns experience a sense of personal accomplishment andcontribution and experience the corporate business culture through work assignments and structuredactivities. They gain the communication and etiquette skills required in business while sharing knowledgegained from recent courses. They also enhance their computer skills and learn new systems and software.Each intern assignment consists of challenging projects with specific goals, providing opportunities forpersonal growth and development. Interns that demonstrate outstanding qualities may be invited backthe following year for a second internship or to interview for full-time positions in our various new hire programs.
Summer internships are primarily located at the FCA U.S. Headquarters & Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, other facilities in the Detroit Metropolitan area, and Business Centers located throughoutthe country. Interns may qualify for a housing allowance and/or travel assistance. During the internship,interns will have the opportunity to participate in many activities designed specifically to enhance theirknowledge of FCA, our products and the metro Detroit area.
The Mopar Service & Parts Intern candidate will assist the Business Center in various projects focused onanalyzing and improving dealership performance in the areas of Customer Advocacy, Retail ServiceGrowth, Service Marketing, Technical and Management Training and Service Advocacy. The selectedcandidate will also shadow Area Managers, Technical Advisors as well as Service & Parts, Sales andNetwork Staff positions. Projects may include but not be limited to Service Capacity and Customer Satisfaction, Social Media and Web based service marketing analysis and improvement plan development,dealership parts inventory stocking level, days -Supply and turn rate efficiency analysis and improvementplan development. Candidate will also assist with Customer Relations (CAIR / Lemon Law) administration.
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Sales/Marketing, Business, Automotive Technology or related field
- Completion of junior year at an accredited university by summer of 2020
- GPA of 3.0 or higher, based on a 4.0 scale
- Strong interest in automotive industry
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
