Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is currently seeking an Employee Benefits Accountant and Financial Analyst to work in our Benefits & Pension Finance Group at our Headquarters and Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI.
The focus of the Benefit and Pension Finance Group is to account for, forecast and assist HR Operations with the finance aspects for all of the benefits available at FCA US. These roles are part of the NAFTA Chief Accounting Officer’s group which is responsible for the accounting operations and financial reporting for FCA US. Benefits Finance is responsible for the accounting operations and financial reporting for all active and retiree benefits for FCA US. Individuals will gain a broad understanding of the accounting of FCA benefits and deliverables of HR Operations. ​

This position is responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly accounting entries and analysis to properly accrue employee benefit costs
  • Performing account reconciliation and document procedures
  • Reviewing actuarial reports, assumptions and experience and analyzing the results
  • Preparing financial analysis and reporting
  • Presenting results and findings to management
  • Ensuring that internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley procedures are being adhered to and thoroughly document work processes and procedures
  • Supporting and maintaining relationships with outside auditors
  • Interfacing with Human Resources and other stakeholders in employee benefit plan administration activities
  • Preparing special studies and providing financial support

Bachelors degree in Accounting
CPA or CA designation required
Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience
1-2 years of corporate experience required
Benefits accounting experience preferred
