Job Purpose

The HRIS Functional Analyst is a ‘full cycle’ Analyst position, responsible for new development from inception to implementation. He or she will work towards becoming a ‘subject matter expert’ for the HRIS systems/applications. The Analyst will report directly to the HRIS Functional Manager and also take direction from Sr Analysts during projects. The Analyst is responsible for functional aspects of HRIS applications such as fit/ gap and business requirements discussions, functional specification documents, functional configuration and security, developing test scripts and participate in system testing, documenting system procedures. Collaborate with the Global Support Team for thorough testing of all new systems, features, and enhancements before they are moved to production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Under direction of HRIS Functional Manager, collaborate with the global support and technical teams on all suggested enhancements/changes and develop recommendations for review
  • Create and maintain functional specifications documents for system changes / enhancements
  • System testing on new applications, enhancements, new features, and fixes
  • Address functional issues identified by the Global Support Team for further analysis / troubleshooting
  • Produce standard and ad hoc reports for HR, business units, and management.
  • Functional configuration including PeopleSoft core tables, and workflow as needed
  • Develop and conduct demonstrations on new systems/ features/ processes



  • 4 year college education or equivalent experience required
  • Administrative/ configuration experience with an HR/ERP 2+ years preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Experience with maintaining/supporting Taleo Recruiting/Onboarding preferred
  • Ability to write Peoplesoft queries preferred
  • Familiarity with application security
  • Ability to write functional specifications
  • Ability to write test scripts
  • Experience with an HR/ERP such as PeopleSoft 9.X strongly preferred
  • Ability to write a project plan
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and discern when to escalate
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced challenging environment
