Would you like a student job with flexibility and the opportunity to get to know a large IT company from the inside? Are you structured, reliable and comfortable reading and understanding Swedish? Then you are just the right person for this position as Student Assistant in KMD.
KMD is the largest Danish-based IT company. We are a leading supplier of business-critical software, technology solutions and IT services primarily to Denmark’s public sector, but with a growing footprint in the private sector both domestically and in Sweden and Norway.
The KMD Group has an annual revenue of around DKK 5.6 billion and around 3,200 employees. KMD is a separate subsidiary in the global Japanese technology company NEC Corporation.
As Student Assistant you will be part of a team of 14, who maintain and develop one of our IT tools. The tool is called Indkøbsanalysesystem and is used to create an overview of our customers’ current spending based on electronic invoices from their vendors.
Our customers are based in all the Nordic countries.
We use an international classification system for products and services (United Nations Standard Product and Services Code - UNSPSC). We use this to categorize the items from our customers’ invoices and this categorization is supported by machine learning.
In the job, you will be involved in the process management of the categorization process, and you will ensure that the products and services are correctly categorized using the UNSPSC hierarchy.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Systemizing items using the UNSPSC hierarchy
- Quality assurance of the categorization performed by machine learning
- Participating in the preparation of instructions and implementations
- Finding information about the diverse products and services bought by our customers
- Dialogue with the customers concerning support cases
You will be part of a team located in Århus and Ballerup, but as the job is performed using your computer, you will for the most part be able to choose to work from either the office or from home.
We expect that you will work between 10 and 15 hours a week with flexibility around your exams.
The job requires a structured person with an analytical mindset. A computer is your most valued tool, and you must be able to work structured and independent. You are ambitious, dedicated, and able to drive your own projects. We are looking for a proactive student who wants to create value for our team as well as for the business.
Because most of the input you will receive is from our customers in Sweden, it is important that you are comfortable reading and understanding Swedish.
Ideally, you are in the beginning of your education, which gives us enough time to make you a valued part of our team. We are looking for students with knowledge within their field, but we are open to different educational backgrounds; you may study to become an engineer, a nurse, or something entirely different.
