About the roleAs a Software Engineer I on the .NET Customer Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the customer’s success in using the AppDynamics’ .NET agent.You will gain insights into the most complex and modern systems in use today.This is a unique opportunity to work in a rapidly-scaling, fast-paced environment with exposure to the most advanced technologies across the stack. In this role you will:
●Work with customers through the ticketing system as well as over WebEx to provide technical support regarding the installation, configuration, and communication of the AppDynamics .NET agent.
●Ensure proper function, visibility, and communication between the AppDynamics agent and the AppDynamics Controller/Dashboard.
●Scan and understand customer code to assist in configuring various points of instrumentation.
●Work with customers, prospects, and field teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues preventing the use of AppDynamics platform.
●Keep all relevant parties up to date throughout the troubleshooting process.
●Capture all relevant logs and troubleshooting data for customer issues. This includes network captures and potentially memory or thread dumps as well as detailed notes to provide context with this data.
●Escalate issues and work with more experienced engineers when appropriate to expedite a resolution for the customer.
●Champion AppDynamics with the customer and act as the customer advocate internally.
About you Pursuing Graduation
●Customer-facing professionalism with great verbal communication skills; IE the ability to tailor communication for the audience. You’ll be working with very technical, as well as some non-technical customers.
●Experience with various .NET Full/Core frameworks, and cloud components.
●Experience in configuring and deploying code in at least one of these common environments:IIS, Docker, AWS, Azure, orPCF
●Experience with object-oriented programming patterns
●Basic understanding of and asynchronous programming patterns
●Basic knowledge of Web protocols, formats, and server environments
●Outstanding attention to detail, specification, and ability to troubleshoot/fix problems in customer environments with eyes over your shoulder.
●You have strong written communication skills, including the ability to write focused, articulate knowledge-base articles.
Bonus points for●SSL communication and network knowledge
●Prior experience working with or supporting a CLR Profiler
●Experience scripting in Powershell and/or Python
