It’s an exciting time in Waltham Forest, we are London’s first Borough of Culture and there is much to celebrate.
We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our residents and are now looking to recruit a leisure contracts and support officer to monitor the leisure management contract and assist in the development of Community and Centre based sports programmes for Waltham Forest residents.
Waltham Forest Sport and Leisure Team is looking for an experienced person with drive and determination to make sure local people of all ages and backgrounds are able to take part in physical activity and sport in all of our facilities
Waltham Forest has a diverse population and we are committed to ensuring that opportunities for participation in sport and physical activity are available equally to all our residents. You will be working with local people, community organisations and national bodies to deliver our key strategies and implementing programmes for all residents

Leisure Contracts and Support Officer
As part of the Sport and Leisure team we are looking for an experienced and innovative individual to drive the physical activity agenda in Waltham Forest. Ideally you will have a successful track record in leisure contract management, a good track record of partnership development, a strong commitment to increasing access to opportunities, excellent communication skills and an understanding of the issues facing the physical activity, sport and leisure industries in London.
You will be expected to maintain and develop collaborative working with our leisure contract partners in the borough and initiate innovative projects to increase participation in physical activity and sport in Waltham Forest
We are looking for an individual that is passionate about physical activity and sport, self-motivated with the ability to motivate and enthuse, colleagues, customers, stakeholders and partners and willingness to work evenings and weekends for the effective delivery of the service
