As a Youth Offending Probation Officer, you will be responsible for case managing young people on court orders.
You will be responsible for managing higher risk young people who are ready to transition to adult services due to their age.
As part of Thurrock Youth Offending Team you will assess, manage and deliver one to one interventions to young offenders. You will also act as a link worker between the youth offending team, NPS and the CRC to ensure the smooth transition of cases between services.
This role will involve working across both the Youth Offending Team and National Probation Service and you will be responsible for the completion of a probation assessment to decide which adult service provider will be relevant.
You will be joining a small and friendly authority with a strong commitment to effective performance management, staff well-being, community engagement and partnership working.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level is required for this role.
