From power generation, energy integration, and heat recovery through to transmission and distribution, we design pilot facilities, greenfield plants, and associated infrastructure, as well as assist our clients to expand capacity or extend the life of existing assets and plants.
We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager (Electrical) within our team based in the Croydon Office, UK. The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.
Our initial requirement is for this individual to support a major project through the development stage as Utilities Manager for Electricity Diversions. This will involve:
Provide technical input and guidance, in terms of engineering and design, in relation to electrical assets over 11kV;
Contribute to concept design development and costing information for quantity surveying team Co-ordinate inputs e.g. constraints, from other disciplines as required
Contribute to / facilitate multi-discipline workshops
Contribute to technical reviews of reports, specifications and/or drawings as required.
Relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications, minimum HNC level
Understanding of Electrical Networks operation and design
Delivery of capital schemes for the diversion and/or augmentation of electricity networks
Demonstrable knowledge of Safety in Design Principal Designers responsibilities
Proven ability to work as part of a team, liaising directly with clients and other design team members
Must be motivated to progress your own career as well as promoting Jacobs
Good communication skills with proven ability in report writing and presentations
Capable of managing a challenging workload subject to change at short notice
Project management experience of Utility Diversions
APM qualification or willingness to pursue a PM qualification this in the future
