ERC's call Synergy grant, ERC SyG, is open to smaller research groups of 2-4 researchers from all research areas and countries in Europe. One of the co-applicants may be active outside Europe. The person applying for a grant must explain why an individual project manager cannot carry out the proposed research project. The merit list is assessed on the basis of the applicants' so-called career age. The research grant can amount to a maximum of EUR 10 million over a period of 6 years.

All presentations are held in English

• Agnes Kulcsar, Coordinator of the Synergy Grant at the ERC Executive Agency (ERCEA), provides information and updates before the next call opens.

• Two researchers who have previously received the grant: Martin Leijnse from Lund University and Tomas Roslin from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, SLU.

• A former panel member, Bengt Nordén from Chalmers, will also give a presentation.
