Radiology Training Specialist at Envision Healthcare


The Radiology Specialist is responsible for delivering applications training to both radiologists and hospital technologists. The Specialist will be responsible for communication surrounding all training activities; project risks and dependencies; application bugs or development requests; documentation and training material content. The Specialist may also be called upon to support projects within the Solutions Team, outside of the training scope.

Paid Time Off: Envision Healthcare offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.
  • Facilitate and deliver all training content to learners, including remote one on one and group training sessions.
  • Conduct all pre-training application and account testing and communicate any issues to IT support team. Follow through to resolution to ensure smooth training session and positive user experience.
  • Identify training needs surrounding project-based work and upcoming business-as-usual trainings.
  • Support onboarding of new end users, including development and execution of comprehensive training and communication plans for new implementations. Work closely with project managers and team on key initiatives.
  • Perform workflow gap analysis to incorporate change management into training plan.
  • Communicate with Practice Managers and learners to schedule training, provide pre-training materials and/or orientations, post-training materials and scheduled follow ups.
  • Learn all radiologist and technologist facing applications to serve as the SME (Subject Matter Expert). Review application manuals, attend product trainings and meetings, and reach out to product owners where needed to increase knowledge base.
  • Share SME knowledge to support other teams within Envision.
  • Work with team on process improvement and creating training documentation.
  • Research problems to identify root causes, seek alternatives and input from others, and make decisions that are consistent with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with other teams to identify training gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create assessment tools by soliciting feedback from learners, support team and practice management to assess effectiveness of training.
  • Adjust training approach based on feedback and assessments.
  • Seek and maintain good relationships with clients, vendors and internal partners.
  • Able to respond quickly to changing demands, processes and updated information.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Complete all HIPAA and company trainings and ensure adhesion to guidelines
  • Able to travel to facilities throughout the United States approximately 30% of the time.
  • Willingness to go beyond the job description to meet business goals.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University and 2 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook
  • UAT and end user training experience in a software development environment
  • Web-based training delivery applications, such as WebEx or GoToMeeting
