Job Description
Purpose Statement:
The Patient Services Depression/Psychiatry Patient Services Strategy role leads the broad APS team to develop care model strategies and acts as the critical link between AbbVie Patient Services (APS) and the Depression/Psychiatry brand team to champion patient support. The role is the strategic and cross-functional lead ensuring patients have an optimal treatment experience on their prescribed AbbVie product.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overall strategy development for care model planning; gathers and aligns inputs from PACT (Patient Access Care Team)
  • Leads PACT to define APS franchise and brand strategies, leads franchise annual strategic planning and investment allocation
  • Supports cross functional teams to identify and articulate customer needs, industry trends and other ways to enhance current patient support programs
  • Orchestrates PACT to dive deep into PSP program effectiveness to identify ways to improve the patient experience and achieve better outcomes. Aligns PACT on enhancements and/or new tactics to support the strategy and brand expectations
  • Develop the PSP narrative and lead presentations for senior leadership reviews, bringing in PACT teammates as topics dictate
  • Quarterbacks the Patient Access and Care Team to drive collaboration across functional teams in planning for, operationalizing, and executing prioritized objectives
  • Critical link between Vraylar and AbbVie Patient Services. Represent APS on the IBT and the IBT to APS, partners with the brand team to ensure alignment and coordination
  • Ensure aligned strategic objectives and collaboration across all PSP and key stakeholder functions, specifically the IBT
  • Responsible for supporting brand strategic imperatives through designing and optimizing fit-for-purpose patient support program ecosystems – leaning in to ensure the smooth transition from treatment choice to treatment plan
  • Responsible for pulling the PACT team together to share information with brand team and senior leadership on strategic initiatives and program performance
  • Accountable for driving PACT alignment for decision making
  • Promotes accountability for performance across functions, including providing periodic updates to senior leadership on program performance
  • Tracks brand needs, economics, strategies, timelines, and priorities while staying abreast of BPI/aMDD and patient trends
  • Works closely with Oral Migraine Director to ensure alignment of a high-volume retail market dynamics are captured and applied appropriately
  • Understands and applies insights to ensure access and reimbursement insights are appropriately utilized to support brand performance in coordination with our copay COE
Significant Work Activities -Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Requires minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business or related field, Master’s Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare
  • 10+ years of experience working at a pharmaceutical company in roles involving strategy and execution
  • Deep understanding of the Depresssion portfolio specifically around BPI and aMDD and use of atypical agents
  • Strong strategic business acumen, financial acumen and a data driven mindset
  • Understanding of annual planning processes
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to gain alignment on customer needs, objectives, and priorities, to optimize business and customer outcomes
  • Ability to understand brand needs and trends to inform proactive business planning and prioritization
  • Experience in building relationships across internal and external teams
  • Senior level executive presence with strong writing, presentation skills and ability to navigate complex situations
  • Ability to influence across functions to gain consensus on solutions and motivate stakeholders to take action
