Medical Assistant II - Flower Mound at Envision Healthcare


The Medical Assistant II is responsible for overseeing and managing all clinical aspects of the office practices. This position performs clinical functions such as taking history and vital signs, documentation results, coordinating lab and prescription orders, and assisting with minor office procedures. This position assures optimal patient flow within the clinical areas and communicates issues with physicians, clinical, administrative staff, and management.
This is a Monday - Friday position. No nights or weekends!
The hours for this role are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This position supports three offices. On Mondays and Thursdays-Lewisville, Tuesdays and Fridays - Flower Mound and on Wednesdays - Frisco.

  • Trains Medical Assistants in all clinical and office procedures.
  • Ensures a chaperone is present during procedures.
  • Assists clinical personnel during patient visit. Administer injections as needed.
  • Ensures clinical staffing and scheduling.
  • Reviews clinical reports.
  • Ensures office compliance with OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintains controlled substance inventory.
  • Conducts “code” and other emergency office drills.
  • Maintains inventory for medical supplies.
  • Reviews and disposes of any services (i.e., post-op, MFM, follow-up on consults, etc.) triages in office emergencies.
  • Educates patients in diet, preparation for procedures, administration of medicine, risks, and precautions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • 2 or more years of Medical Assistant experience required
  • Experience working in an OB/GYN or MFM office is preferred
  • Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant certification or license is preferred
