Release Train Engineer in AWS IT Product Line at Ørsted

Join us in this role where you'll act as a galvanising force for sharing agile and SAFe knowledge across IPL teams. You'll work as a servant leader and facilitate IPL practices and program-level processes and execution. You'll also manage risks and escalate impediments, as well as assist the teams in delivering value.

Welcome to Agile Leaders Competency Centre
You'll be part of AWS IPL where you, together with your colleagues, will lead a strong and globally diverse team located in Denmark, Poland, and Malaysia. The organisation is right now made up by 25 people divided into two teams, one focusing on AWS Core Platform and the other on Cloud enablement of the AWS services and products. The overall purpose of the IPL is to build the Ørsted Cloud platform in order to support automated self-service for our developers. In your role, you'll be in close collaboration with business owners, IT leadership, and Competency leaders.

You'll play an important role in:

  • working closely with the Product Manager and Solution Architect to ensure a sustainable and efficient flow of products
  • ensuring that the IPL growth is balanced according to the roadmap, and that we have the necessary capacity to meet demand
  • budgeting and following up on budget
  • taking an active part in the development and innovation of the IPL, e.g., scrum masters, processes, team topology, etc.
  • driving agility by utilising, expanding, and improving the tools provided by SAFe as well as facilitating the IPL ceremonies, e.g., PI planning, SOS, IPL leadership meetings, etc.

To succeed in the role, you:
  • collaborate in a creative and flexible way with agile teams in a SAFe setting
  • are skilled in facilitating effective communication to ensure comprehensive alignment and understanding of the objectives and goals for each IPL event
  • are very proficient in financial management and accounting structures related to IT, enabling informed decision making and the tracking of progress and budget across complex multi-funding channels
  • have expertise in leading a diverse global organisation with a focus on diversity and inclusion, growing leaders, and inspiring teams
  • come up with visionary solutions to create strategic long-term plans that align with business goals and objectives
  • are proficient in transforming an IPL's organisation through critical thinking, continuous improvement, and exceptional organisational skills, to make the IPL more effective, lean, and fit-for-purpose.
