Here’s what the job entails

In the role, your primary function will be to solve issues within the data framework and maintain the production environment of our data framework. Down the road, you will acquire extensive knowledge about data pipelines, end-to-end development and wide collaboration across the business and with external data providers.

Concretely, your areas of responsibility will be to:

  • help users across the business with potential issues regarding the data platform we are maintaining
  • develop data solutions that will be utilised by your colleagues
  • collaborate with both internal and external stakeholder to ensure efficient communication and execution of given tasks
  • monitor our systems, working proactively to keep things in order before errors are reported

Meet the team

As our new junior data engineer, you will join our Data Operations team that ensures the business gets the data it needs. This means that we are responsible for ensuring data integrity and stability and to maintain the production environment.

You will join a team of seven people with various backgrounds within engineering, data science, cognitive science and business intelligence. As part of the team, you will experience a shared goal to always provide exemplary support for our stakeholders. Also, we are a social team that enjoys spending time together, both socially and professionally with the rest of the Technology organisation.

As you will be working with ensuring our systems work as efficiently and reliable as possible, we are looking for someone that is solution-oriented and employs creative approaches to problem-solving. And as you will collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders, it would be a great advantage to have solid collaboration skills.

  • are enrolled in a relevant education within IT and is curious about either learning or developing your skills in TSQL
  • have a technical flair and an interest in becoming a world-class data engineer
  • can work approx. 15-20 hours per week (we are flexible around exam periods)

Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
