Process Overview
Global Banking & Markets Operations (GBAM Ops) supports both the Global Banking & Global Markets Operations
  • Global Banking Operations delivers end-to-end services and operations, and comprehensive financial services solutions. This includes credit, depository, treasury and trade delivery and support. There are 3 major groups within the global banking operations
  • Global Markets Operations delivers end-to-end support for Global Markets sales, trading and underwriting businesses, and certain shared services across securities, derivatives, foreign exchange, futures, options and commodities products for Corporate Treasury, Corporate Investment Portfolio and GWIM.

AML Platform Management & Transformation
  • AML Platform Management & Transformation team is engaged in Platform Validation Testing and Test Management for modifications to the AML/AWARE platform and impacted applications. Scope includes configuration/code changes to update the AWARE application to be compliant with current laws, rules and regulation changes globally along with transformations changes.
  • AML programs comply with regulations, assess risk and safeguard against money laundering and terrorist activities.

Job Description
As part of GBAM Ops Change Group, the incumbent will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team whose mandate will be to deliver industry leading Front-to-Back process and technology solutions. Acting as a change agent, he/she will manage a variety of value-driven initiatives at every phase of the project life cycle. Use his/her knowledge of processes and best practices within technology (application integration / application development), Finance/Middle-Office Operations and project management to assist in identification, assessment and resolution of complex issues/problems.
Assist in executing the enterprise-wide direction for GBAM Ops functions. As a member in the group, he/she will support front-to-back integration and change initiatives and be accountable for driving change and executing successful implementations.
Responsibilities
As a member of Transformation and Change Management team within Global Markets Initiatives, the candidate must participate routines with their assigned scrum team and execute all UAT activities including:
  • Requirements Clarifications
  • Use Case reviews
  • Test Script writing
  • Test Script execution, including documentation
  • Defect management
  • E2E Integration validation of upstream/downstream applications
  • Business Validations during release weekends
  • UAT testers in this role will also support operational user testing whereby front-line business user will be invited to test the tool and the functionality in advance of the release. It is imperative that comprehensive testing is executed and the documentation captured is also comprehensive to support the new enterprise change management policy with regards to testing
  • Additional responsibilities may include AWARE access request reviews and dispositioning, collating performance metrics and reporting dashboards for senior leaders and ad-hoc testing support as priorities mandate.
  • Help with ensuring Global Change Standards, Enterprise Procedures are followed for the project and that documentation meets Enterprise and line of business requirements.
  • Help with managing production of meeting decks and tracking meeting minutes and actions
  • Help with managing RAID logs and follow up on open issues
  • Ability to run testing calls, pick up issues and manage status reporting around defects.
  • Experience of producing test metrics/MI for senior management

Mandatory Skills:
  • Regulatory knowledge in understanding and being up to date with AML laws, rules and regulations
  • Ability to assess and manage risks associated with clients, transactions and geographic regions
  • Familiarity with AML software, databases and tools to enhance investigation and monitoring processes
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and communicate effectively
  • Experience with AWARE or other bank used Pegasystems products a plus
  • Five Years testing experience in a similar role or as a quality tester for large software installs
  • Five years Agile experience and in a Global environment
  • Excellent verbal and communications skills. Provide clear, concise direction to the broader team while delivering comprehensive status to senior executives or project champions

  • Ability to understand and drive Front-to-Back Workflow and articulate and understand full product/trade life-cycle in Global Markets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills

Desired Skills:
  • Negotiation Skills: - Ability to negotiate with ground level folks and with Line managers (Senior & Junior)
  • Stake holder management (internal & external) across regions / functions / lines of business.
  • Advanced Excel, and Power Point skills
  • Hands on experience with JIRA, HP-QC, SQL / Excel VBA, MS access and Share point, and handling MIS, will be an added advantage
  • Ability to understand new technologies, intellectually curious.
  • Critical thinking skills – ability to assess quantitative and qualitative data to identify key themes that require deeper analysis and assessment
  • Creativity – able to look at a problem from a new perspective and to develop new ideas and solutions

Education:Post-graduate preferred
Shift timings: Flexibility to work in the EMEA Time zone & some overlap with AMRS (Typically 1:30 PM IST -10:30 PM IST)
